Rail Workwear

High visibility reflective railway workwear clothing

Are you in need of rail workwear?

In the UK railway industry, the wearing of high visibility clothing has become a mandatory requirement for all persons associated with track or sideline working. The safety of rail workers is paramount at all times and it is vital that employers ensure staff are kitted out in the correct rail workwear, in line with health and safety regulations.

Railway Group Standard sets out the minimum specification for high visibility warning clothing in the rail industry. GMTS Workwear stock hi-vis rail workwear which offers approved EC declaration of conformity to manufacture and supply the rail industry with safety clothing and equipment. All garments are certified to the Rail Industry Standard GO/RT 3279. The GO/RT 3279 standard is based on the European standard EN 471:2003. It requires garments to meet at least class 2 EN 471 for the minimum area of high visibility materials used within a garment. The railway standard specifies high visibility orange as the mandatory colour.

For your own safety you are required to wear high visibility clothing when on or about the line. Each garment exceeds the requirements of British and European standards for its intended application. They carry the relevant CE mark in conjunction with these European legislative requirements.

GMTS Workwear products have been carefully selected and comprehensively tested. Should it be an orange hi-vis jacket or a boiler suit, we strive to bring the highest quality rail workwear to our clients to keep you as safe as possible.
